The moment I entered the gate, Janelle started pointing to her head & said "pain pain" & then to the floor,"down". I bend down immediately to examine her head & saw a BIG BUMP. My angel was trying to tell me her head is hurting as she fell down onto the floor. Maid said she had fell flat on her face while running just minutes ago. GOD it must have been very painful for her.
I pick her up, wanted to kiss her bump... I noticed that her body is burning. I was not joking, her body was really very hot. Maid didn't even call to report Janelle was having high fever. I panicked as wild thoughts ran in my mind - was it due to her bump, did she hurt somewhere internal hence the fever.
There wasn't any thermometers in the house as we had left ours at my in laws place, same goes for medication. I totally freaked out. I prayed for her and called Daddy who decided to bring Janelle to the doctor.
It was already 9:30pm; our family clinic is closed for the day. I tried searching the net for alternatives but no avail. Called up San San, thank god she manage to locate a clinic in Yishun that operates 24hr.
We rush to the clinic & I took Janelle's temperature using their thermometer - 39.6c. We waited forever before we get to see the doctor who said "Could be viral infection, I cannot be sure so I'll prescribe her some antibiotics." He's definitely the most unfriendly doctor we ever seen.
I had to force the fever & running nose medicine down Janelle's throat, left out the antibiotics since the doctor was not even sure if it was viral infection. I tried to give her some milk but she refused to drink. I prayed for her again & put her to bed.
I hope she will be better by tomorrow. I had an important meeting so cannot stay home with her. It's time like this that I wish & wish I'm a Stay At Home Mum.
